[A Fallen Goddess Reborn VS the Last Deity in the Ninth Heaven]
In ancient times, when Pangu first created heaven and earth, murderous energy ran rampant throughout the world, giving rise to the God of Slaughter, Wuliang.

The loss of her family, friends, and beloved devastated her. After dying, she became the resentful spirit A Yun and wandered the mortal world for a thousand years.
After attaining immortality, she discovered that her friends, brother, and beloved were all still in the mortal world. She also uncovered the truth behind what had happened all those years ago.
Every tragedy had been brought about by Wuliang. Using Ji's Eye of the Void, Wuliang had seen everything that would happen in the future. To stop the Water God from reclaiming one of her soul fragments, Wuliang tainted an Anyang flower with demonic energy and planted it ten thousand years in the future. She then arranged for He Er Yun's country to fall and for her to become a resentful spirit, allowing one of the Water God's soul fragments to inhabit her. If the Water God reclaimed that fragment, her soul would be obliterated, and A Yun would die as well, having lost her primary soul.
To defeat Wuliang, A Yun used the power of the Wheel of Rebirth to return to ten thousand years earlier and search for a solution.
But everything that happened inside the Wheel of Rebirth left her unable to tell whether she was the goddess Chi Yuan or the immortal A Yun.
