Song of the Rice Fields

"Song of the Rice Fields"

Synopsis:

This book tells the story of a farmer named Li Fu and his deep emotional bond with the rice fields. Li Fu was born into a rural family and worked in the paddies alongside his parents from a young age, developing a special attachment to them. As the times changed and agricultural technology continued to advance, Li Fu experienced the shift from traditional farming to modern agriculture.

He shed sweat in the rice fields and, when natural disasters and market fluctuations struck, shed tears as well. To increase his income, he tried raising fish in the paddies. He failed many times but never gave up. He placed great hopes in the second rice crop, continually exploring and testing new planting methods.

Along the way, he faced not only the challenges of nature but also man-made difficulties, such as land transfer issues and the pressure of agricultural loans. But he remained devoted to the rice fields, carrying on and promoting the culture of farming.
