Ling Mo is a gifted young medium who can see ghosts. He goes to an abandoned psychiatric hospital to investigate a series of mysterious deaths. Inside, he is attacked by all kinds of evil spirits, but repeatedly overcomes danger with his spiritual power and supernatural artifacts. He also discovers a crucial ancient book, The Secret Record of Yin and Yang. Later, Ling Mo joins forces with Ye Qianyou, who has studied ancient supernatural arts in depth, and Daoist Xuanfeng. As they fend off the evil Shadow Society, which wants to seize the book, they follow its records on a perilous journey to find such spiritual treasures as thousand-year-old cold jade, a rhinoceros horn, and a Phoenix Rebirth Stone. They brave countless dangers in frozen wastelands, mysterious forests, and ancient mountains of fire. After gathering all the treasures, they return home to prepare a soul-sealing formation, and the final clash between good and evil is about to begin.
