The story continues on the Nine Continents of the cultivation world. When the male lead is young, he is sent to a sect, where a violet brings him together with the female lead as her disciple. He cultivates in the sect, and life is peaceful.
But the male lead suddenly meets with disaster and dies. The female lead later returns with him reborn. He is weak, yet carries a powerful aura. Curious about how he came back to life, everyone is told it was a fortunate coincidence. In truth, the female lead spent her spiritual energy and used a mysterious object to bring him back. Because the object is so extraordinary, she keeps it secret to avoid attracting trouble.
Though the female lead has lived for nearly a thousand years, her spiritual energy is also damaged this time and will take time to recover. From then on, the male lead recuperates while, under her care, learning to control the mysterious power within him. Their bond as master and disciple grows ever deeper. The secret of the mysterious object used to revive him lies buried in the story like a hidden thunderclap, waiting for the right moment to erupt. When it does, it will surely stir up trouble and propel them into facing even more unknown trials on their path to immortality.
