From Today On, I'll Become Transcendent

Years later, Yu Ming told his story: “Actually, I'd already quit smoking back then. If someone offered me a cigarette, I'd smoke it. If they didn't, I'd ask them for one.”

“That's not quitting. That's quitting buying them.”

“Ahem, that's beside the point.”

“Then what is the point?”

“The point is that while the hero was captivated by Snow White's beauty, the whole world trembled beneath the dragon's shadow. At the brink of destruction, Cinderella finally took up her sword with my help and, through wisdom and courage, shattered the dragon's vow to destroy the world.”

“Uh... something about that doesn't add up. Why would Cinderella defeat the dragon?”

“Hey, didn't I just say? The hero was bewitched by Snow White, so he had no choice but to go find Cinderella.”

One day, Yu Ming suddenly discovers that the familiar stories he knows so well aren't unfolding the way he imagined.

The hero who was supposed to save the world suddenly vows to become a villain and destroy everything. The princess trapped in the tower is riding a dragon and breathing fire over the city...

Then, to his utter despair, he hears a mysterious voice whispering in his ear: You, go sort all this out.

Huh? Me?

I'm so dead, man!
