[Sequel to Symbiosis, The Ten Days of Yangzhou, no brainless plot, slow-paced, multiple endings]
(PS: This all started because a certain lousy author played Corpse Devourer a second time, got emotionally wrecked, and then heard that Lament of the Wilds was about to come out, so they got inspired on a whim.)
(Universe-wide disclaimer: I write purely as a hobby. Please forgive any shortcomings, and feel free to point out any problems. I'll make corrections where reasonable. Thanks for understanding. Long live understanding.)
This is a victim's diary.
This is a sinner's confession.
This is an incompetent person's wail.
This is a hero's great deed.
This is...
If you always die within ten days, only to wake up on the first day after every death, what would you choose?
Would you search through countless cycles for a way to save everyone, choose the path of living alone in despair, or become a hero who sacrifices themself for others?
Whatever you choose, remember:
One: There is no absolutely right choice.
Two: Life is about choosing what to keep and what to give up. A wise person sacrifices the small for the greater good; chasing perfection is foolish.
Three: Good fortune never comes from nowhere. It is bought with the misfortune of others and the misfortune of your future self.
Four: Choices never spell out their price. They bring more than just rewards.
These are truths written in despair, the laws of these ten days in the human world, and an impassable divide.
All right, now make your choice.
One: [Fall into the cycle]
Two: [Step into the cycle]
Three: [Enter the cycle]
Four: [What are you looking at? You really think you have a choice? How ridiculous]
