A Legend of the Music Scene: Beginning with the Revival of Chinese Style

After transmigrating to a parallel world, Lin Ye discovered that the Chinese music scene treated five thousand years of refined tradition as worthless dross.

While everyone else chased Korean pop and electronic dance music, he quietly took the stage. One song, “Blue and White Porcelain,” began a crushing, next-level assault.

The investors mocked him: “That stuff is so old-fashioned. Who'd listen to it?”

The top-tier stars questioned him: “You sing and recite poetry at the same time? That's neither one thing nor the other!”

Then he made opera-style vocals ring through the Grammys, set the world ablaze with “Compendium of Materia Medica,” and inspired millions of foreigners to learn Chinese, captivated by the line “The sky is blue as rain clouds gather.”

Only then did they finally understand: it wasn't that traditional Chinese music was no good. They had simply never touched the true depths of Chinese culture.

(And he had no idea that the girl who stayed by his side when he had nothing was the original source of all his inspiration.)
