The great war ten thousand years ago left the Demon Venerable missing and the Immortal Venerable gravely wounded. Both races fell from their positions as overlords. The human race has been biding its time, yet it has also become dependent on the immortal race. Meanwhile, the Demon Venerable waits in a secret realm for the prophesied child to arrive and uncover the truth about this world.
(The protagonist definitely won’t fall into demonic cultivation all at once in the early stages. He’ll be gradually pushed into it.)
