With Earth ravaged by war and soon to become uninhabitable for humans, the world launched an experiment called “New Humanity,” fusing the genes of various creatures with those of humans. But after the experiment failed to produce results for a long time, the government forcibly shut it down. The scientists involved, however, had no intention of ending their research, so they conducted illegal experiments, and disaster struck.
Large numbers of test subjects escaped the laboratory and infected humans, turning them into hybrids of people and beasts. The survivors built seven towering cities to defend themselves against attacks from the test subjects. The protagonist accidentally transmigrates to this world and, guided by a useless System, unlocks the Gene Lock System. By killing the test subjects' progenitors, he can acquire their transformation forms, but he also takes on the responsibility of saving this world.
