A love story between an archaeology graduate student and a cultural relic (x)
The protagonist is modeled on the Warring States crystal cup at the Hangzhou Museum.
A closed time loop, a happy ending, a long, slow-burn story. Best enjoyed by immersing yourself in it.
#Story Synopsis#
The boy finally gets revenge on the people who abused him.
He thinks he will find salvation, but the moment he escapes his prison, he falls into an even deeper darkness.
“I want to see you sink completely into darkness.”
“I'm captivated by the way you bloom in the dark.”
At the very beginning, the people and demons outside the prison both pushed the boy toward an even darker hell. Yet he held tightly to the demon's hand.
“Why would you dare to gamble on such a dangerous game?”
“...Because you'll fall in love with me.”
When fate proves impossible to escape and the cycle closes, I return to this dark moment when we first met.
I know you'll fall in love with me. I know I'll die a thousand years in the past. I know that, in the end, you'll cross the long river of time and meet me again in the modern era.
It's just that, at that point, I won't remember you yet.
And by the time I fall in love with you, you'll be gone from this world.
we are forever caught in a cycle of intersecting fates.
#When the cycle closes and darkness takes hold once more, can you still love me as you did before?#
#Please Note#
Everyday life in the early chapters, dark transformation later on. This is not a fluffy, feel-good story. Plot-driven, multiple couples, a cycle-of-reincarnation storyline, and time travel. Rereading brings surprises, with more foreshadowing and hidden details than you can count.
There's angst, but even more sweetness. It really does have a happy ending.
