Jingkang Shame

In the second year of Jingkang, 1127 AD, this was a year that made people in Song Dynasty sad and unforgettable. In this year, Song Huizong and Qinzong were captured by the Jin people and went northward. All the ceremonial objects, palace supplies, books, printing plates, armillary spheres, bronze figures, engravings, ancient utensils, and maps of various states in the Song palace, as well as palace servants, chamberlains, craftsmen, advocates, and treasury reserves, were all swept away by the Jin people. The Northern Song Dynasty fell and this was the first time in history that foreigners ruled China.
