Quick Transmigration: She Only Wants to Earn Merits, Not Fall in Love

Quick Transmigration: She Only Wants to Earn Merit, Not Fall in Love Ling Xiao is an utterly ordinary modern office drone, humming a horribly off-key tune on her way home from work. Without warning, a giant billboard drops from the sky. With a resounding crash, everything goes black, and her soul unexpectedly floats free of her body. "Oh my God! I'm dead just like that? I haven't had enough spicy hot pot yet!" Ling Xiao's soul drifts through the air, wailing like a ghost. Just then, a mysterious vortex appears, and her soul is sucked inside in an instant. When she regains consciousness, she discovers that she's somehow taken over the body of a man in ancient clothing. He is lying on the ground, surrounded by a crowd of people pointing at him. "Good heavens, how did he wake up?" "Could he be a corpse that's come back to life?" Completely bewildered, Ling Xiao sits up and shouts, "Come back to life? I've transmigrated!" The crowd scatters in terror. Ling Xiao gets up and dusts herself off. Looking at this strange new world, she says to herself, "Since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. Maybe I can become an empress here!" She's happily imagining it when a giant rooster suddenly flaps its wings and charges at her. She takes off running in fright, yelling, "Help! What kind of place is this? Why are the chickens so vicious?"
