Immortals follow the Immortal Dao, demons follow the Demon Dao, and devils follow the Devil Dao. Though these three paths differ, at their core they all take the Law as their Dao.
The Law is a method. Whether it is a method of cultivation or of attaining the Dao, a method inherited from the past or one created by oneself, it is the foundation of every cultivator.
Beyond these three paths, there is another: the Strange Dao.
The Strange is the human heart, obsession, and the product of negative emotions. Its origins cannot be traced. Any living being can become Strange.
Some mortals die and become Strange, slaughtering an entire region and turning it into a Strange Realm. Some terrifying beings sever their obsessions and become aberrations, attempting to shatter the heavens and earth, only to be suppressed by the former Heavenly Emperor.
Yet the Strange cannot die or be destroyed. As long as obsession remains, its source endures. The Heavenly Emperor can suppress aberrations, but cannot erase the human heart.
And so the Strange was born again...
