Eternal night has swallowed the world, and daylight has become a legend.
But aside from the lack of daylight, this world seems to have changed very little.
In truth, however, Blue Star hides mutant beasts unknown to ordinary people.
The Beast of Greed, the Beast of Rage, the Beast of Envy, the Beast of Lust, and the Beast of Sorrow.
These five kinds of beasts are born from the emotions and desires of greed, anger, envy, lust, and sorrow.
When any of these emotions reaches an extreme, a person's soul vanishes along with their shadow, leaving behind an empty shell.
The person's soul inside that shell is replaced by the soul of one of these five mutant beasts.
The beasts' souls lie dormant. Until they awaken, the empty shells retain their human form and are indistinguishable from ordinary people.
But when a beast's soul is provoked, it breaks free and is reborn, slaughtering and devouring humans at will!
