Xu Hongting of Chaoge

Zhaoge was a small-town girl who got into university in Shanghai and worked hard to put down roots. She thought she and her childhood sweetheart had a bright future together, but her faithless lover betrayed her: as soon as he got ahead, his first move was to dump the woman he claimed to love.

Her childhood sweetheart, Wang Han, schemed to force a breakup so he could climb the social ladder. He swindled her savings, causing her sister to miss the best time for treatment and die of her illness. Her parents were further humiliated by the Wang family and later died in a car accident. Wang Han tricked Zhaoge into becoming his mistress, and Jiang Wen, a wealthy heiress, hated her so much that she had people destroy Zhaoge's reputation.

After learning the whole truth, Zhaoge was consumed by grief and hatred, with nowhere to seek justice. In a moment of despair, she jumped into the river. When she opened her eyes again, she was reborn in her senior year of college. Through more hardships and a twist of fate, she met Hong Ting, a good man. On her path to revenge, she also found happiness.
