[1v1. The heroine is very capable but a little lazy.
The hero isn't an iceberg either.]
The highest belief of the Immortal Sect is the Qitian Cult. Its Saintess, Tangxi, was personally named by the gods as destined to join the ranks of the immortals. When she glimpses the future, she discovers she'll have a Dao companion and that her Dao heart will be ruined!
This is serious business.
The Saintess runs away from home to meet the great demon who will affect her future and her very life.
Along the way, she meets like-minded friends. Together, they brave countless dangers and keep their Dao hearts firm,
though she still ends up falling for the great demon.
But then the unexpected happens: the great demon from the prophecy dies, yet it is she who dies instead.
After dying, she discovers her death was a sham. It was a trial set by the gods.
When she awakens from the trial, a hundred years have passed.
The world has long since fallen into chaos. The great demon has rallied every demon, determined to fight humanity to the bitter end.
The Saintess's only trial after waking is to kill the great demon and then ascend to immortality.
In the end, the great demon dies by her sword.
As she is about to ascend, she shatters her golden core and destroys her Dao heart.
