When the original gods fell, the world chose three new gods to fill the void. But before the newborn gods could open their eyes, the Black Dragon had already devised a plot to overthrow them. The world teetered on the brink of ruin, and the laments of countless living beings echoed in the ears of the new gods.
What could be heard in those voices? A gentle attendant, a cold-hearted ruler, a servant of the gods who nearly forgot their original purpose, a girl who knew nothing of love yet found it, a silent one who betrayed their ruler but could not bring themself to serve the new king, a greedy soul who gave up their own desires to choose between a friend and a lover, an ignorant one who thought they were saving the world but instead pushed it into the abyss...
Ah, so many voices, so many stories... Everyone's story intertwined with everyone else's. They searched for the source of the tragedy, only to find that they could hate no one. And so their desire to save the world burned ever brighter.
Hand in hand, the stars and moon walked toward the dawn they longed for, only to discover that in the daylight beyond it, there was no place left for them in the sky.
At long last... the world finally welcomed tomorrow. The sun rose as usual, but in the night, neither stars nor moon remained.
It's got a bit of a mutual-salvation vibe (doge) (averting my eyes). Though, well, there might be a tiny bit of angst. Really, just a tiny bit (sincerely). By the way, this is Western fantasy. Also, Selene is a boy, not a girl, because I couldn't find a boy's name with a moon motif.
I rate myself (with a guilty conscience) and may lack logic in some places, so please forgive me here˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧º·˚
It's beautiful, come on, come on
I think this book is quite interesting. Why don't many people read it?
