On the very day Su Yao learns she has Alzheimer’s, Gu Ze welcomes back his first love, Lin Wan. When Gu Ze blames her, she silently endures it and plans to pack up and leave, unwilling to use her illness to win sympathy. She burns the gifts Gu Ze once gave her, remembering their happy moments together, but now everything has changed with Lin Wan’s return.
Gu Ze treats Su Yao coldly, flaunting his affection for Lin Wan in front of her. He even drives her away with flirtatious phone calls and makes a public declaration of love on social media. Heartbroken and helpless, Su Yao accepts it. At a bookstore, she tries to paint a picture without Gu Ze in it, but her memory problems leave her frustrated.
Her beloved pet, Pudding, is injured and shivering outside the villa, but Lin Wan stops her from bringing Pudding inside and insults her. Gu Ze also accuses Su Yao of being rude to Lin Wan. Amid fading love, illness, and family discord, Su Yao remains determined to protect Pudding.
