Harry Potter: I'm Fighting Voldemort? For Real?

An owl tapped at the window, bringing with it a doorway to the magical world. Penny Evans was lucky enough to glimpse one dazzling corner of it.

But the mysterious magical world had only shown itself to her for a moment before slamming the door shut again. It stood open for her sister, the one who had been chosen, not her.

A seed of envy took root in her heart, slowly growing into a towering tree called jealousy.

After yet another heated argument with her sister, Penny quietly distanced herself from everything to do with magic. It was a childish attempt to bury her head in the sand, but the darkness of the magical world surged toward her like a tide.

Unlucky enough to get caught up in it, Penny paused to think for three seconds, then chose to, of course, join in with a laugh and make things even darker.

P.S. The heroine is Harry's aunt, Penny, but in this version she has transmigrated, and her personality and appearance are completely different from the original. If that doesn't work for you, just think of her as an original character with the same name.

I love a Mary Sue, so bring on the golden fingers! The author's definitely a doting mom. If the heroine's halo feels too powerful, or the plot or characters make you uncomfortable, please don't force yourself to read.

The timeline is chaotic, OOC warning, lots of headcanon. Read on if you're okay with that.
