Siheyuan: I’m Lame and Blind, but Don’t Mess with Me

[Siheyuan + lighthearted humor + putting the troublemakers in their place + a little devious + high-conflict]

There’s plenty of negativity, and a little positivity, but not much.

Li Ping’an transmigrates from his 21st-century grind into a Siheyuan in the 1960s.

Unfortunately, things go disastrously wrong from the start: his leg is lame, and someone has beaten him blind. But that’s all right. Li Ping’an is naturally fierce and afraid of no one. He takes down the courtyard’s troublemakers one by one.

He has a System that rewards him with energy for putting the beasts in their place. I’ll trade for rice, I’ll trade for beef, and I’ll trade for sea cucumber too. The courtyard’s troublemakers are left drooling with envy and jealousy.

Thieving Saint Bang Geng: “All the meat and vegetables at your place are for me to eat!”

Li Ping’an: I’ll slap you right across the face!

Necromancer Jia Zhangshi: “Hurry up and pack your things, then get out! My grandson’s moving into your room!”

Li Ping’an: Go downstairs and join your son and husband. We’ll see who ends up leaving.

Widow-lover He Yuzhu: “Your mother should’ve taken you with her when she died in childbirth!”

Li Ping’an: Your father should’ve taken you along when he ran off with that widow.

Donkey-faced Xu Damao: “This courtyard is going to be mine one day!”

Li Ping’an: Sure. Tomorrow, your wife will belong to Silly Zhu.

Huh? Li Ping’an can see again, his leg isn’t lame anymore, and he can run up five flights of stairs without even getting winded!
