Daughter of Destiny

I kindly rescued a woman who had transmigrated, and she became the adopted daughter of my family, the Chancellor’s household.

For some reason, rumors suddenly spread through the capital that the Chosen One was in the Chancellor’s residence.

Then the woman I had taken in, along with my fiancé and a squad of Imperial Guards, had my entire family executed.

That very day, the drought in the northwest came to an end.

The emperor was overjoyed. He declared the transmigrated woman the Chosen One and arranged for her to marry the crown prince.

So, on the eve of the wedding, I hanged her from the rafters with a white silk sash and disguised myself as her.

They don’t know that I’m the true Chosen One.
