[An attempt at a novel. Volume One, 340,000 words, is complete. I couldn't keep writing Volume Two, so it ended abruptly. Next time I write a novel, I'll definitely outline it and have more than half of it written before I start posting it. (Crying)]
When Eris and Beran were fleeing through the Dark Marsh Forest, no one knew what the future held for them.
Who could have imagined that the boy whose handsome face was being scratched up by branches in the forest would one day become the strongest young wizard commander in the human strongholds? After his father-in-law united the Aoyue Empire and the Maya Republic and became their first president, he would push the Dragonflame Line, where humanity fought desperately to hold back the magical beasts, three thousand kilometers farther north.
And Eris, still overjoyed at the thought of going to the Fayat Academy with Beran, could not have known that one day, after becoming the First Wizard Tower's chief wizard scholar, she would explore all the lands untouched by humanity on her own, complete the first full map of the planet in human history, and usher in a new chapter for the wizard power system.
But even much, much later, when everyone knew the names Eris and Beran, the two of them would still sometimes think fondly of that night they spent huddled together in the Dark Marsh Forest.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, pretty
