National Fate Battlefield, but I’m Just an Ordinary Person

No System, smart characters, ensemble cast, international cooperation, one heroine

The National Destiny Battlefield.

Sometimes I can't help thinking that it would be better if the National Destiny Battlefield didn't exist. Unfortunately, a reality like that is far beyond our reach.

We race across the battlefield, hoping to slow the disasters' arrival.

Every failure brings disaster closer, while our successes seem insignificant by comparison.

We can't bring our strength back, and we can't prevent tragedies. All we can do is watch them unfold again and again.

Earthquakes, tsunamis, meteor strikes, even the destruction of the world.

We gave everything. Is this all we have to show for it?

I refuse to accept that.

And it all begins on that day when flames light up half the sky.

(The early chapters aren't great, but if you can, I hope you'll read through Chapter 13. That's the first major highlight, and the author thinks it's pretty good.)
