Lu Wu, the God of War prince of Lixia, has fought in countless battles, yet he fears only Jiang Yiyou, the legitimate daughter of the Qingbei General's household.
After a rebellion in the imperial capital, the Jiang family is wiped out. A year after Jiang Yiyou disappears, she reappears at the Qingbei General's residence.
When Lu Wu hears the news, he says, “That wicked woman nearly killed me. How dare she show her face again?”
When they meet again, Jiang Yiyou is completely unlike herself. She actually wants to honor their betrothal and marry Lu Wu.
“Can you really let go of the crown prince you love, and the exalted position of crown princess?”
Lu Wu steps forward, unwilling to accept it. “This prince isn't someone you can marry just because you feel like it!”
Jiang Yiyou strikes Lu Wu with her palm. “How are you so skilled in martial arts?”
“What else?”
“You... You actually poisoned me!”
