Nayi has turned eighteen, the age when she can awaken a summoned beast. As she prepared for the ritual, she accidentally awakened Mu Chen, the Black Dragon, one of the dragon race's two ancestral dragons. Afterward, thanks to the Book of Prophecy, the two became father and daughter. Despite the bumps along the way, Mu Chen eventually helps Nayi grow into a dragon princess capable of holding off an entire army on her own.
