[The original title was: “Disciple, Go Down the Mountain and Find Your Seven Fiancées”]
After being tricked by a charlatan of an old man into spending four years on a mountain learning all sorts of miscellaneous skills, Guo Bufan watched the old man get struck by lightning while undergoing tribulation. Whether he'd ascended or simply vanished, Guo Bufan had no idea. But then he found the things the old man had left behind. Among them was a piece of paper covered in crooked handwriting: “Bufan, your master here should have, um, ascended to the Immortal Realm by now. To help you cultivate better, I tricked you into, ahem, finding a few marriage prospects years ago. Look for them. There are seven in all, and they're all stunning beauties. That's all I have to say. Disciple, don't let your master down.”
So Guo Bufan took the seven marriage contracts and swaggered down the mountain.
(A brainless novel with some wish fulfillment. It's not entirely wish fulfillment because the author's skill isn't quite up to it.)
