I'm a Civil Servant in a Special Department

Jiang Yi, a young genius of the mystic arts, has one great mission in life: protect the feng shui formation her master left behind. So, right after graduating, she returned to her hometown and opened a homestay to while away the days. She thought she'd spend her life hiking the mountains, petting cats, and basking in the sun. Then an important guest showed up and opened with, "Would you consider joining our Ninth Bureau as a civil servant?" Jiang Yi: "? A desk job? No way." Huo Cheng is a special investigations officer with the Ninth Bureau. Sent by his organization to the border province to find an "intangible cultural heritage inheritor," he discovers that her greatest ambition is to lie flat. After she turns down six types of insurance, two housing funds, fourteen months' salary, and performance bonuses, Huo Cheng decides to stay and play nanny for this lady. Er, make that daddy. No woman can resist a capable man, and taking care of things behind the scenes is the first step to winning over a genius of the mystic arts. Taking charge of a woman's housework is the first step to winning her over. A bulldozer of a genius girl who can take on an Undying Bone one-on-one, emerge unscathed, and communicate with heaven and earth. An investigator born with a remarkably auspicious fate and an aura of purple-gold, who turns out to love doing the support work. Together, they'll fight gods and Buddhas alike at the National Security Ninth Bureau, leaving chaos in their wake. Huo Cheng: "I knew you were strong... You didn't tell me you were this strong... Sob." Could a woodenly reserved wind-element shamaness and a fire-element male mom actually work out... right?
