It's quite novel, with artificial humans, mechanical fusion, and alien beasts (referred to as desolate beasts in the text). The male protagonist's ability is still one of the four ferocious beasts that I like most about alien beasts, the Taotie. I hope that the follow-up will be the kind that devours evolution.
