Awakening in Dream of the Red Chamber

I can't believe I found a Red Mansions fanfic that doesn't distort Baoyu and take the "righteous path" and at the same time doesn't dismantle Baodai! There are some minor flaws in the plot and writing, but it is really a gentle story, so good.

The character's personality is neither suspended above the world of Red Mansions, and over-correction has become a tool to whitewash the face; nor is it too boring, following the plot and following the trend, without innovation; nor does it suffer from the protagonist's disease. Instead, it retains the aftertaste of Cao Gong and describes each character as objectively as possible. If I had to pick a shortcoming, it would be that the word count is too small. Less than 200,000 words can only be counted as two copies. Obviously in the original work, the two decided to be together because of their spiritual compatibility, but it was given a ridiculous ending in the last forty chapters. But two people who pursue spiritual transcendence wouldn't find someone like this, right?

The most important thing about a fanfic is not to be OOC. This is one of the Red Mansions fanfics I have read that has the most respect for the original character design. Later on, the author will gradually have his own reasonable settings. It is a fan of Red Mansions, but it is another reasonable and exciting story. The supporting characters such as Mrs. Wang and Xiang Ling are slightly OOC, so it's harmless.

Well, the author has pity for the girls in the original novel and does not cheat to help these daughters grow up. What moved me the most was the chapter where Baochai smashed Lengxiang Pills. Baochai's suppressed heat poison was broken by himself.
