On this fantastical continent, immortal sects are everywhere, while demons and ghosts run rampant. Yet one woman is like a ghostly flame in the night, both terrifying and strangely alluring. She is Leng You, the villainous heroine with a tattoo on her face.
Leng You was born into a cursed family. The righteous cultivators once laid siege to the family for trying to control forbidden dark powers. During that bloody massacre, Leng You’s parents were killed. She was still a swaddled baby when one of the family elders carved mysterious runic tattoos onto her face. The runes glimmered with a faint blue light, seeming at once like a seal and the continuation of a curse.
Leng You grew up alone, consumed by hatred. She had neither her family’s protection nor any friends. Because of the tattoo on her face, people shunned her and even considered her an ill omen. Children threw stones at her and called her the offspring of a monster. Gradually, darkness filled Leng You’s heart, and she vowed to make the world pay for its prejudice against her.
By chance, Leng You wandered into an ancient forest. It was thick with spiritual energy, yet full of hidden dangers. There she encountered an injured fox spirit. Its fur was fiery red and its eyes gleamed with cunning. When it saw the tattoo on Leng You’s face, it wasn’t afraid. Instead, it became intensely curious about her.
“Little girl, that tattoo on your face has quite a story behind it,” the fox spirit said.
Leng You clenched her fists and watched it warily. “What business is that of yours?”
The fox spirit chuckled
