On the day of the college entrance exam, the proctor walked into the exam room carrying a corpse.
“Don't be afraid, everyone. This examinee had an accident on the way here, but we can't compromise the fairness of the exam.”
The corpse was placed in the empty seat beside me. The exam paper was spread out, and blood began writing answers.
I stole a glance at its paper. Every answer was correct, until the final essay question.
The prompt read: “Describe what you felt when you died.”
The corpse's pen suddenly stopped, then slowly turned toward me.
On the essay section of my exam paper, it wrote, one character at a time:
“When I died, I saw you smiling beside me.”
