The Path of Cultivating Buddhism for the Super Xuanzang tells the story of Master Xuanzang, Zhu Dagang, and the Spirit Fox Fairy as they embark on a series of fantastical and hilarious adventures during their cultivation journey.
Along the way, they encounter all sorts of strange people and happenings, from dealing with mysterious men in black to battling water monsters and outsmarting bandits, then venturing into mysterious valleys and caves in search of treasures. Throughout it all, their personalities and relationships spark off one another.
Zhu Dagang is straightforward and reckless, but full of a sense of justice. He is always creating comic mishaps without meaning to. The Spirit Fox Fairy is clever and highly skilled in magic, though she is often bickering with Zhu Dagang. Master Xuanzang is compassionate and wise, always able to guide everyone at crucial moments.
They help others and solve problems throughout their adventures, growing and gaining insight with every challenge. Each experience is filled with danger and laughter, while also conveying the power of kindness, courage, and justice. Their journey is not only an exploration of the outside world, but also a test of their inner cultivation, showcasing the spirit of holding fast to one's convictions and pursuing the truth through hardship and danger.
