In Journey to the West, I Only Know Conceptual-Level Divine Powers

Why has Wukong’s temperament changed so drastically?

Why does the Journey to the West keep running into trouble?

Why is Buddhism in decline?

Whenever the root cause comes up, Buddha, the Bodhisattvas, and the Arhats all grit their teeth and glare at Li Qing.

Li Qing: “Wukong, do you want to control your own fate?”

Wukong: “I do.”

Li Qing: “Wukong, do you want to become Buddha?”

Wukong: “I do.”

Li Qing: “Wukong…”

Wukong: “Just tell me what I need to do, already.”

Li Qing: “Go on the Journey to the West, join Buddhism, and take down Tathagata. The seat of Buddha goes around in turns. Next year, it’ll be your turn.”
