Great Tang: Li Shimin Fakes His Death? I Ascend the Throne!

Crown Prince Li Chengqian is deposed for treason. Disheartened, Li Shimin decides to fake his death and test his sons, hoping to find a worthy heir. When Li Jian, who transmigrated into this world, hears of Li Shimin's death, he doesn't rush back to the capital to fight for the throne. Instead, he seizes the opportunity to rapidly build up his power. While the other princes are still locked in a fierce struggle for the throne, Li Jian has already conquered the Western Turks and watered his horses by the Onon River...

Li Shimin: “I hope this fake death will let me find a worthy heir!” But when he learns that Li Jian has led an army of two hundred thousand to the gates of Chang'an, Li Shimin completely loses his composure!

The civil and military officials and the great aristocratic clans declare, “The Son of Heaven must be a man of virtue. The Prince of Dai imprisoned his father and murdered his brother. He is unworthy of the throne!” Li Jian smiles faintly. “The Son of Heaven is whoever has the strongest army and the best horses. If you disagree, feel free to take it up with the army behind me!”
