This book tells the half-life of five people born in the 1980s who live in a small alley in the countryside. They were born in the same year, lived in the same alley, and went to the same elementary school, but their final fates were completely different. When they were forty years old, they simultaneously attended a meeting held by their teacher's son for returning to elementary school. Through chatting, they learned about each other's current situation. Some became teachers after passing the examination, some became leaders after passing the public examination, some were sick and lingering, some were resentful wives at home, and some were hanging around in the workplace...
