A deafening clap of thunder jolted the young man awake from a nightmare.
As his consciousness returned, he realized he was lying inside a wrecked off-road vehicle. Outside, rain was pouring down. Ahead stood an enormous Western-style mansion, and behind him was a suspension bridge.
His head throbbed. He couldn't remember who he was or why he had ended up in a place like this. The only thing he could confirm from his ID card was that his name was Chen Yao.
It was pitch-black outside, and the only light came from the mansion nearby. It seemed to be his only destination.
Chen Yao got out of the vehicle and braved the rain as he made his way toward the grand mansion. He could just make out other people inside. Perfect: he needed to find out what was going on.
What he hadn't expected was that so much could happen in a single night...

Not bad, this story is quite interesting
The subject matter is very novel, and there are many twists and turns. It is recommended not to read spoilers. I listened to the audio book, so the reading time is not long, and the writing style is medium to upper level.
