In 1992, Lucius Malfoy's youngest daughter, Othia, steps into the castle with her Hogwarts acceptance letter. She has a pair of heterochromatic eyes that her family regards as a “sign of hope.” More arrogant than her older brother Draco, she has no idea that Voldemort has been secretly coveting her “Eyes of Immortality,” which can not only control minds but also conceal a secret powerful enough to turn the tide of war.
At Slytherin, Othia befriends Simon, the illegitimate daughter of the Selwyn family, a girl with the gift of prophecy. Bound together by their respective secrets, the two become known as the “Double Excellence Girls.” At the same time, Othia finally meets Iso, the “godlike half-blood boy” Draco has told her about. Feelings quietly blossom amid their mutual testing, and anyone can see the deep affection in Iso's eyes.
Voldemort returns, and when a prophecy reveals that Othia is his eighth Horcrux, he lays a vast net to capture her alive. At the critical moment, the Malfoy family sends Othia to the Eastern magical world for refuge. There, she unexpectedly reunites with Iso, who is dealing with a family crisis. Once Iso resolves the trouble, the two return to Hogwarts together, thinking the storm has passed.
But peace is fleeting. An old enemy from the Eastern magical world suddenly strikes, kidnapping Iso by force and using his clan as leverage. Othia bears the pain of missing him and prepares for battle, but in the final showdown, she chooses to sacrifice her “Eyes of Immortality” to protect Simon and destroy the core of the Horcrux, quietly meeting her end.
Still pretty good-looking
