Everyone says a blurb is important, and I rather agree. I even prepared a few words of self-praise, but my skin is too thin, so in the end I gave up.
After much thought, I decided to describe this book honestly. Everything below comes from the heart; I have no penchant for praising myself.
This is a high-martial fantasy series with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. Yes, you read that right: it is hilarious.
Political intrigue, mystery, and deduction: the author has checked and calculated everything repeatedly, and the plot should be airtight. Read with confidence.
You will have a hard time guessing the mastermind before the very end.
Power-ups and struggles for supremacy, with plenty of satisfying moments. This is more than simple face-slapping and a comeback.
No brainless or idiotic plotlines, and no golden finger.
Protagonist: Li Cai. He values deep bonds, is meticulous, and likes to use unusual, risky tactics. When major matters arise, he is ruthless and merciless; when it comes to family, he is utterly devoted; when it comes to love, he is clueless. As for what other people say, he couldn't care less.
No weeds grew nearby. The flat ground was covered in gravel, and a quiet stream flowed out of a mountain ravine. Birds called now and then, making it seem like a hidden paradise. But when you looked up into the ravine, darkness mingled with an eerie gloom, and the gray substance was almost liquid. The roars and shrieks of unknown creatures rang out from time to time, jolting anyone dreaming of paradise abruptly awake. The fox swallowed and murmured, “C-Cai-ge, are... are we still going in?”
