Twin Swords, Bound Like Shadows: An Old Friend's Tragedy and a Parting Lover's Tears

[Historical wuxia + two male leads + heartbreaking period romance + mutual devotion] Xiao Yu (the pursuer) x Su Yuheng (the pursued)

Xiao Yu, a young general of the Dayin dynasty, is forced to conceal his identity and flee into the martial world after his family is framed. Along the way, he meets Su Yuheng, a flute player. When Su Yuheng’s identity as the young master of the Youming Pavilion is revealed, their conflicting loyalties turn them against each other with drawn swords. Yet, when faced with life and death, they choose one another.

Twin shadows of the sword, inseparable as light and shade. Old friends mourn, those left behind weep. An old friend arrives through mist and rain; aboard a guest boat, one listens to the rain. Who made you fall for flowers and songbirds, care so little for life, and perish amid the red dust? Eyes rippling like autumn waters, a smile blooming like a flower, standing proud above ten thousand miles of mountains and rivers!
