"The Age of Primary Colors" includes a trilogy of red, yellow and blue, namely Volume 1 "The Sorghum is Red", Volume 2 "My Apricot is Yellow" and Volume 3 "The Lake is True Blue". Based on the life experiences of three generations of the Ma family in Yonggu Village on the bank of the Yellow River, it describes some typical events that happened in an ordinary village on the bank of the Yellow River in the last century, and more truly reflects the sadness and helplessness of ordinary people in this disaster-prone land. The work takes time as its axis, with Volume One starting from modern times, and Volume Two and Volume Three spanning modern and contemporary times. It selects typical events, small incisions, and big society. The narrative is concise and highly readable.
