Lin Luo Chu died.
In her previous life, the hidden maiden Lin Luo Chu sneaked out of her village and met the injured Jun Yichen. Defying the village's rule against bringing outsiders in, she took him back to recover. Later, when she learned he was her idol, the God of War and Prince Duan, she resolutely helped him, plotting to win him the position of Crown Prince. She defied her grandmother and fell in love with Prince Duan. Her grandmother cut ties with her, but on the very first night after he became Crown Prince, he killed Lin Luo Chu and dumped her body in a lake.
After her death, she saw the Emperor of the Northern Kingdom, Xie Xingzhi, whom she had once asked, “Have you ever cried or shown weakness in front of anyone?”
Xie Xingzhi turned slightly and replied, “I would never show that side of myself.”
Yet now she saw him kneeling on the ground, weeping uncontrollably. He used ruthless methods to unify the land, then took his own life in front of her grave.
Lin Luo Chu wept inconsolably. She had never even managed to see her grandmother one last time before she died. She had betrayed the grandmother who loved her most for someone unworthy, and let down the man who loved her deeply. She had been wrong from the very beginning.
If she could live again, Lin Luo Chu would stay by her beloved grandmother's side and love the man who was willing to give up his life for her.
To hold your hand and grow old together.
It's a bit similar to King Lanling, but I like to fulfill one of my obsessions. When I watch TV, Yu Wenyong is my obsession. He almost lost his life for the heroine several times, but in the end he fell for her, so I can still accept this novel.
Isn't this King Lanling?
