This book is a biography. It mainly tells that before Sun Quan reached his twenties, he took advantage of Jiangnan and made himself king and emperor. Chen Shou called him Gou Jian's talent, Zhuge praised him for recruiting all the talents of Soochow, and Cao Cao sighed as if he was born. People admired his success as a young man, but regretted his declining ambition in old age. They called him a "half-bright monarch".
