Heartbreak: The Madam Kneels Before President Fu's Tombstone in Remorse

[Angst + Secret Crush + Taking the Blame + Marriage Before Love] To my wife: Yan Chu, I know how you must feel right now. I lied to you, but I don't regret it. This was the only way you could survive. Please forgive me for being so despicable. We met when we were eight. I saw the darkest moment of your life, and from then on, you took root and blossomed in my heart like a seed. On the day I returned to the country at sixteen, I heard your name over the phone. Nervous and apprehensive, I showed up at your school, afraid you would remember me, yet just as afraid you would forget me. Watching you devote your whole heart to another boy, I knew I had lost. I was jealous, and I had my dark moments, but I never wanted to hurt you. Giving you away with my own hands was the happiest thing I ever did. I only wished for you to be healthy and happy. But things didn't go as I hoped. Gu Huaizhi died, and Ji Xia died too. I knew I might lose you, so I resorted to a despicable trick and had Liang Kangle alter your memories. If hating me would keep you alive, I was willing to become the murderer. I know the day will come when your memories return. Yan Chu... I beg you to live. Don't live for anyone else, just live for yourself. I don't need you to pay with your life for anyone. This was all my choice, so you have nothing to feel guilty about. When you're sad, it breaks my heart. It's all right if you don't love me. No one in this world has to fall in love with anyone. My love, everything I've done has nothing to do with you. Please don't blame yourself or feel guilty. I hope the girl I love can enjoy her freedom without restraint. You're too tired, and you've carried too much. Your husband, Fu Sinian
