Beneath the Floating Sea

“Me? I'm Fu Yao, just a little spirit formed from the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.”

“Then why don't you feel pain...” Zhuo Yichen furrowed his brow, his gaze on you filled with an indescribable desire.

The blue-and-white bracelet on your wrist shimmered faintly, like your heart, stirring ever so slightly.

“I told you, I'm a spirit. How could I feel those things? Keep this talisman safe. It'll save your life.”

“Heh. You escaped the illusion and hid your aura for so long. But for Zhuo Yichen, you were willing to use magic after all.”

Li Lun squeezed your throat, suppressing all your spiritual power. All you could do was keep trying to gather your strength. Your flushed cheeks gave him a thrill.

“Tell me, if I killed him right in front of you, would you suffer even more? Hahaha, Fu Yao, the more you suffer, the more power I gain.”

Li Lun released you and casually threw you to the ground. The hard stones tore your gauzy skirt.

“Li Lun, you'll never win.” Sweet, metallic blood spilled from your mouth, but you couldn't fall here. Your friends, who had always protected you, and the person you loved most needed your help now.
