A Cage of Captive Love: The Imprisoned Canary

[Captivity] [Possessiveness] [Forced Love] [Unhinged]

[This is a prequel to another novel, mainly about the story of Chu Qi and Si Jinnian]

The best thing Si Jinnian ever did was snatch up an obedient-looking little sidekick when he was ten.

Hidden in a somewhat cramped, dim wardrobe was a pretty, slender boy. He curled up, trying to make himself as small as possible, as though that would help him hide and keep the outside world from finding him.

His features were delicate and refined, as lovely as a finely painted portrait. But at that moment, his bright eyes were filled with tension and unease. His gaze darted about, betraying his fear and panic.

He hugged his knees tightly, his fingers turning faintly white from the strain. His body trembled slightly with fear.

The wardrobe was a little too cramped for him, but he did his best to adapt. His back pressed firmly against the wooden panels, and his breathing grew quick and faint with tension.

Though he tried his best not to make a sound, an occasional faint tremor could still be heard in his throat.
