In the modern world, the struggle between human beings never ends. The divide between rich and poor, along with the hunger for power, has created a world of luxury and excess, where people scorn the poor but never the immoral.
Against this backdrop, Space Beasts appear, growing stronger by devouring human fear. People flee in panic, and the world descends into even greater turmoil. Humanity responds by forming the “SBA” force, short for Space Beast Antibody.
But humanity's vaunted technological weapons are becoming less and less effective against Space Beasts that grow stronger by absorbing human fear. In this moment of crisis, people wonder: since the Space Beasts from the tokusatsu series Ultraman Nexus have appeared in this world, could Ultraman Nexus, the hero who specializes in fighting them, appear as well? As they pray for Ultraman to arrive, people struggle desperately against the Space Beasts.
Zhao Yu is a Qin Kingdom wage slave, a child from a single-parent family, and a freelancer. He loved watching Ultraman as a child, and was mocked by plenty of people for it. While he was still in school, he once bought a Chinese-made Ultraman Nexus transformation device online: the Evoltruster.
Once he got caught up in the grind of daily life, Zhao Yu stopped watching Ultraman. He also felt that the light within him had long since gone out, leaving him nothing but a good-for-nothing everyone laughed at.
But when Space Beasts appeared in the real world, Zhao Yu was terrified. He fled with the crowds, doing whatever he could to survive.
Just then, the toy gathering dust in Zhao Yu's home, the Evoltruster, began to glow.
With it, Zhao Yu can transform into Ultraman Nexus. But should he fight?
