He was the worst student at the Demon-Slaying Academy, a good-for-nothing in the eyes of his fellow disciples, until he happened upon a wondrous book: the Demon-Slaying Dictionary.
A beautiful, headstrong female cultivator mistook him for a little demon. With his head about to roll, he thought fast. "I can help you slay demons!"
"And why should I believe you?" Yi Qianxun said scornfully.
"I have a Demon-Slaying Dictionary!" he blurted out.
As it turned out, his dictionary listed all kinds of strange demons and monsters, along with detailed plans for killing them.
So she said, "Come with me up the mountain!"
He was Song Polu.
He loved Yi Qianxun, and he loved Xiao Jingshu, too. But Xiao Jingshu took a blade for him and died, only for her soul to enter the body of her romantic rival.
One body, two souls. How was he supposed to face them both?
From then on, he moved between the souls of Yi Qianxun and Xiao Jingshu.
From then on, he used the Demon-Slaying Dictionary to make his way in Amber City and rise to prominence, leading the cultivation world into a fierce battle against the Four Demon Realms!
