The Book of Xuanhuang

In ancient times, the God of Fire, Zhurong, fought the God of Water, Gonggong. After his defeat, Gonggong crashed into Mount Buzhou, which supported heaven and earth. The impact tore a huge hole in the sky. This opening contained immense spiritual power and exerted a tremendous pull, drawing in part of this world’s human population and a portion of its land. The people and land that were drawn in absorbed some of the opening’s spiritual power, bringing subtle changes to the human body. In time, they became a new continental world known as the Zhenyu World. Thousands of years later, a person was born there with the same constitution as the strongest being from the world’s earliest days. He would eventually become the ruler of this world.
