An Exiled General Barged into My Coffin Shop

Ye Lai, who has just graduated from college, reaches the darkest point in her life. Her best friend and boyfriend betray her, her parents die in a car accident, and her relatives seize her family’s antique shop, leaving her with nothing but a haunted coffin shop.

Overnight, she goes from being a rich heiress to a penniless beggar with nowhere to go. She has no money, no power to take revenge, no one to rely on, and no status or influence. Driven into a corner, Ye Lai plans to close the coffin shop and leave her hometown to figure things out. But while paying respects to her parents, she unexpectedly meets a real person from ancient times.

A man who claims to be an ancient general comes to ask her for a bowl of food. Thus begins Ye Lai’s journey of pampering Gu Bingxi.

An old embroidered shoe, a chipped ceramic bowl, and a discarded bronze incense burner are worth a fortune in Ye Lai’s hands. She trades them for rice, flour, meat, padded coats, and boots, saving the entire Gu family.

Just as Gu Bingxi raises an army in rebellion and ascends the throne, the coffin shop accidentally catches fire. Gu Bingxi rushes into the flames like a madman, only to find that he has followed Ye Lai into the modern world. He becomes a renowned antique appraisal master, and finally lets his beloved wife lie flat and enjoy life.
