Invite the Hidden Emperor to Ascend the Throne and Enact the Laws of the World

The five hundred emperors who rule the five hundred dynasties of the Eight Directions World have somehow gathered in a mountain ravine. With a splash, they all kneel in the stream and cry, “We beg the Hidden Emperor to ascend the throne and proclaim new laws for the world!”

But the Hidden Emperor is, after all, the Hidden Emperor: he has always acted conspicuously while keeping his imperial status under wraps. After much effort, the five hundred emperors’ eight hundred thousand spies finally tracked him down to a cave above this stream, only for the Hidden Emperor to leave behind a cup of Nongfu Spring tea that had only just gone cold.

The eight hundred thousand spies set out once more, tears in their eyes…

We’re begging you on our knees, please ascend the throne already! We spies just want to die quickly, not work ourselves to death.
